Mets injury, Isn't believed to be serious.

Carlos Delgado sent back to NY according to Eddie C. Said his hip didn't feel right after the game yesterday and the Mets are being cautious by sending him to NY to get a MRI.

    Not a good sign, early.

I think the Mets are making a mistake by relying much of there offense on Delgado and Alou.

I heard on M&MD that so far, Delgado has had trouble getting around the inside fastball.

Not good. They don't really have any other decent 1B options, do they?

Michele Abreu (Red Sox cast off) and Mike Carp (Wasn't invited to camp)

If it ends up being serious, they are probably going to make a move.

I could definitely see Scott Hatteberg getting dealt here if Delgado is really hurting.

I'd like to give Abreu a chance before we run and make a deal for an Hatteberg or Millar type, even if it is serious. I think he could do a decent job there.

Now if Nady is available, I'd reconsider, I'd rather have him back.

A reliever we had in 05, his name is escaping me right now, and Oliver Perez.

Yup, thats him. How could i forget that. Funny thing is he sucked in 06 after being so good for us the previous year, but Perez worked out pretty nicely I would have to say.

He had a 3.48 ERA that year with the Mets, I wouldn't say he 'sucked'. He just wasn't used as more then a 6th or 7th reliever with Wags, Heilman, Feliciano, Mota (When he was pitching well), and Bradford

3.48, wow. I must have a crap memory than because it seemed like he got hit pretty hard whenever he took the mound.

    for

    Xavier Nady.
