    Duaner Sanchez injured

Duaner Sanchez isn't available to pitch in games due to soreness in his surgically repaired right shoulder.
Manager Willie Randolph said he's limited to long-tossing and that there's no timetable for his return. It appears likely that he'll begin the year on the DL, possibly opening the door for Rule-5 pick Steven Register to make the team.

    Very Irresponsible Reporting by Rotoworld.

This is what the Journal News blog that it linked to had to say.

ON DUANER SANCHEZ: Hes long tossing with no timetable for his return. The party line is soreness from not having pitched for a year-and-a-half and not a new injury.

No mention of a DL Stint, No New Injury. So in other words its taking him longer then the normal 24-48 hours to recover, that's all, which seems pretty normal considering that he hasn't played in a year and a half.

Maybe their assumptions will end up being true, but they're basing it on nothing.

He's essentially doing rehab outings right now, once he finishes that stage of his recovery I would think he will be good to go. We'll see though.

I don't think Randolph will be counting on Sanchez pitching every other day right off the bat, which should help.
