Carlos Gomez Wins Twins CF spot

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Carlos Gomez will be the Twins' starting center fielder.
There was never much doubt once the Twins decided not to sign a veteran center fielder, and Gomez beat out fellow prospects Denard Span and Jason Pridie for the job. Span, Pridie and Brian Buscher are all said to be heading to Triple-A, signaling that Matt Tolbert has won a bench job. Gomez figures to struggle at the plate and will be miscast as a leadoff hitter, but has the speed to swipe 50-plus bases if he plays every day. Mar. 24 - 9:12 am et
    - Also Humber was optioned to AAA after a great spring.

The best thing about Gomez is that he got better everyday at the plate.
He has hit 286/302/510, 10 sb, 12 runs with 7 XBH this spring.

I think it's a mistake and he should start the year in AAA, but we'll see.
