I am legitimately sick and have been since Saturday. I just look at today being opening day as a bonus, but I wasn't going in no matter what.

The 4pm start today helps....i think im going to try to avoid any scoreboard watching and try and sneak out of work very early and start the game from the beginning when i get home....not sure if thats gonna work though as there's one particular d-bag in my office who feels compelled to let me know about every little mets move as if a) i hadn't heard about it before and b) i really care about his analysis.

I'm in the same position here. Fortunately my particular d-bag at work is going to the Yankee game so he won't be here to ruin anything for me. I have to do everything in my power to avoid answering text messages though.

    I am stuck at work.

I do have a radio in my office but get ZERO reception on 880.

What is the best site to follow the game online? Is the new MLB gamecast good?

i have to admit i probably could have toughed it out if i reallly really wanted to. i wouldn't have been worth much, but i could have just faked it for the day. opening day mad emy decision a little easier, although i likely wouldn't have went in either way.....it's like trying to decide to play a marginal hand and then someone raises and makes the decision for you.

Here in europe, the games start in the evening, so I can happily say: I am drunk, baseball-season is on its way, it cant get any better!
