OT: Please Help Out at Shea!

Finally the Mets are abandoning the Red Sox song of Sweet Caroline at Shea! God I hate the Red Sox, so please vote for anything but Sweet Caroline even Yankees fans I'm sure you dont want to hear that song at shea also.

Well the simple fact that is a RED SOX Song is enough for me. I am all about being original.

    Bruce Springsteen is solid.

Thank you- this list is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Why does there have to be a singalong at all?

Take Me Out to the Ballgame followed by Lazy Mary during the 7th is quite sufficient traditionwise.

    Agreed.

But my problem with that list, and this happens at all sporting events, someone with bad taste decides what we should listen to, and I think that guy created jock jams! There are great songs from the past and present that would be so much better. Yeah I know we all have different tastes, but come on! Sweet Caroline, Gary Glitter over and over!

This person also programs all the songs for all the events on TV. They just rehash all the same crud!

I suggested this one by the Rock & Roll master, Chuck Berry. The crowd always sings out exhuberantly whenever he plays it. Wonder why?

The Yankees play a few songs during a game. Right before the game starts they play..

Jock Jams - Are You Ready For This

Usually played right after the Yankees get a few hits in a row and have some men on base they play...

    Ram Jam - Black Betty.

That horrible version of God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch, and of course...when its all over.

Frank Sinatra - New York New York

Too bad they'll only have two chances -three tops- to play it.
