Miguel Tejada on E 60: Was This Necessary?

    http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/...goryId=2378529

To me, this is an example of the media going overboard.

    What do you guys think?

MLB can not be happy about this. What is ESPN thinking?

The information should have been disclosed in a professional manner. They blindsided him and that is inexcusable!

They're thinking it'll boost the ratings of E:60 and nothing else.

I heard about the news that he lied about his age on the radio today but I didn't realize that is how it went down. Jeez, I was half expecting the guy from to Catch a Predator to come out. And he lied about his name too? This can't help him with prejury charges...

Latin ballplayers lying about their age? I'm shocked.

E 60 is a terrible show. ESPN really can't fake hard-hitting journalism, and they shouldn't even try to.

I do think this is a story but the way they did it was just bush league in my opinion. They intentionally lured him into a trap to catch him lying on camera.

Will air on Tuesday at 7PM Eastern.

Sounds as if the Feds are going after this guy because he may have perjured himself during the steroids investigation. For some reason, ESPN thought it was important to hire an attorney to obtain Tejada's birth certificate in the DR.

they said today on sportscenter that this is a non story because it has been documented with the government a long time ago and just never made public.

But they MADE it a story with their 60 minutes-style interrogation.
