So funny. They include a link with a video of the Mets fans booing opening day.Once the Mets realized what was happening, they quickly invalidated the results of the poll and decided that on Opening Day, April 8, they'd take the vote to the people.
When Astley's song was played, it was greeted with boos. The Mets had finally overcome rickrolling.
"We're not talking about a nuclear bomb here: It's a fun thing, it's in good fun, and we're not offended," Horwitz said. "But it wasn't a true indicator of our fan base."
Thats pretty damn funny.
What is with the Mets and atrocious songs
"Who let the Mets out", "Our team, Our time", now this. Yikes
Who let the Mets out was pretty bad.
Remember the How You Doin' Yankees song, haha.
Roll call is awesome.
Roll call > You
The only people that hate roll call are dopes that wish they had thought about doing it for their team first.
Didn't the Mariners play "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT" everytime they scored a few runs. I rememeber them playing it over and over when the Yankees played them in the post season a few seasons in a row.
As fans would you rather them not play it and let the fans do it on there own? I know if Yankees Stadium ever played audio of the roll call the creatures would probably be very upset.
Anyways, if chants aren't corny they wouldn't catch on.
the jose jose jose chant is one of the best in sports, but now that shea plays it over the speakers it has lost its edge ao to speak.....in 06 it was just the crowd doin it and it was great
