    Chase Utley

This guy is on friggin fire.

He now has more home runs then our entire Mets team. Acually he has 10 and so do the Mets.

There is a darn good chance that Philly can have back to back to back M.V.P's, with 3 different players.

Maybe. Robbie Cano deserves a mention here too.

Utley's last year and this current one agree with your statement. However, he still has to keep this up...which he is very capable of. Cano has potential to put up the numbers Utely does but who knows how that will turn out, he took a small slide in his numbers last year. When wathcing them back to back I think they have a similar swing although Utley is showing more power in his lately.

I don't know whats so crazy about putting Cano in the catergory of top level second baseman?

Utley is in a class of his own. Too many Yanks with "potential" are being equated with players that they are not in the same zip code as.

Thats fine and all, but that has nothing to do with the question.

    Cano has the potential, yea.

But c'mon guys. From a Yankees fan, Utley is just an incredible hitter. What he's doing right now is really amazing. Too bad he got a later start in his career, but he still has plenty of time.

Cano is a tope tier 2nd basemen. He isn't in Utley's class but after him there isn't anyone better. Cano is having a bad April, some people need to relax. He seems to be a slow starter. He's already produced, he isn't only potential. Last season he led all 2B in runs batted in, and slugging last season. He was 2nd in hits, triples, and OPS, and 3rd in batting average, doubles, and HR.

Which is all we were trying to say.....don't mention Cano with the Utley's and Wright's of the game as we've seen here. Cano is very good but not in those two players class. A thread about Brandon Phillips should garner a Cano mention. Not one about Chase Utley.........or David Wright. The reason I quoted potential is like I said, too many times that word is used as a automatic assumption that a Yankee player is on or capable of being on the same level of players with far more tools and superior stats.
