Bruney likely out for the season, Ohlendorf likely to be sent sent down

Brian Bruney. He has a torn ligament in his foot that will require surgery and is likely out for the season.

More on this later but he has a lis franc injury. RHPs Chris Britton and Jon Albaladejo are here and available. No word on the second move but it seems likely Ross Ohlendorf will be sent down.
Tough luck, he really came to came in shape and ready to contribute. He is far better than he was for us last season.

Chris Britton and Jon Albaladejo are here to replace them. Edwar Ramirez snubbed!

I'm surprised it's not Albaladejo and Ramirez that got called up. Ohlendorf has been overused this year and I don't blame that on Girardi. Our bullpen has had to eat a lot of innings. I like him and expect to see him back up here.

It's a shame for him, but I wasn't buying his latest run when he was still walking the world.

Ramirez should be up in the big leagues IMO.

    Agree with Ramirez though.

Meaning a pitcher who doesn't throw strikes isn't going to be successful long-term. Even his latest run he walked 6 guys in 11.1 Innings, and that's a good rate for him. Last year he walked 37 guys in 50 Innings, the year before it was 15 in 20.2 Innings.
