No. IMO, the "pundits/experts" may not be giving you first hand info of what they've seen. They sometimes rely on someones else's observations/analysis. You read them to get a measure of a player. And many times you keep getting the same one-dimensional read. Maybe its accurate, and the case is closed on the player. It can also be passed down info that's as reliable as a House Of Cards. If you have a quality scouting/player-evaluation organization. You should rely on them.
Last year Jets' player-evaluations lead to moving up for Revis/Harris. Two pro bowl potential studs that will be starters for years. Stuckey is probably our starting slot WR. A steal for a 7th round pick.
A guy like Dwight Lowery has exceptional ball hawking skills.Known to be a very smart/instinctive player with physical limitations. Probably was drafted to utilize those skills as a situational CB in particular zone coverage schemes. If he makes a play on a ball. Knocks it down, or intercepts it. Then he was evaluated and drafted properly. Lowery would have justified the pick. I trust Tangini and the Jets scouting organization that they know what they're doing in the Draft.
