What should the UN/US etc. do about Myanmar?

The catastrophe in Myanmar is obvious enough. The ruling junta's response has been nothing short of criminal and paranoid. The numbers of dead are climbing into the six figures. How far should the world community go to assure that emergency supplies reach the victims? Coup? Occupation? Negotiation? Begging? Waiting? or simply Withdraw and let nature take its course....

    Nothing.

How many times does this area of the world need to be inundated with water before people realize that living on a river delta a few feet above sea level isn't such a good idea?

Let private entities handle this. Govt will not help much. If Govt wants to help donate money, that's it.

The lack of request for aid by the junta makes even the lack of response by Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin during Katrina look great in comparison.
