If Willie goes out, HoJo is in.

I heard Larry Bowa might be a possiblity?

I'd love to see Bobby V come back to NY. As a Yankees fan I always thought he was entertaining.

HoJo's the man when Willie goes. He knows the org. inside and out from the lowest level to the bigs. He would be the obvious choice for interim manager. As for who gets the job when the year is out I have no idea. I like Bobby V. better than anyone else that's out there but this isn't his kind of team. His '99/'00 Mets would destro this group. Bobby needs gritty players and this team has maybe 5 guys that qualify.

Bobby V would have won a world series had he been here in 2006. O well.

Hojo would go in and in the offseason (barring HOJO winning the NL East) Omar would try to poach Acta from DC.

They didn't hire Carter as the 1st base coach last year when they brought in Henderson. There's bad blood now. He's had limited minor league managing experience. I'd be shocked if they brought him in. Seems like there might be a little rift between him and the org.

I think Willie gets the full season but wouldn't mind Bowa at all should Omar feel differently.

^I know its only speculation, but i really believe this

Bobby V would never come back, he is the Tiger Woods of Japan, he is not comin back to the Mets

Gray Carter and the Mets are on bad terms

I think Omar would want Acta, but i dont se him levin a no pressure, no expectation job to come to one of the worst situation with pressure to win, which the mets are after the 06 heartbreaker,07 collapse and santana signing

Frank Robinson- dont think this is his kind of team and not sure if even wants to manage

    HoJo is probably the choice
