Smoak has to go right here.

I just don't see how if teams are willing to spend 8-12 million for Top picks, why they wouldn't be willing to spend 800K to get a 3rd Round talent in the 8th Round.

Jason Castro...he was on the Mets radar.

Awesome, Jason Castro taken, Mets have been linked to him alot and I'd rather go for more upside.

    Yes he was.

The guys I think they look at are

Weeks little brother, Ike Davis, and maybe Cole.

Astros abide by slotting with Castro.

    My guesses.

Rangers will take Smoak and A's will take Hicks or Weeks.

    About time.

  10. #50
    Wow, Weeks at 12?

I was thinking about him at 33!

  11. #51
    No surprise. Rickie Weeks brother.

    Good call

I like Lawrie, Wallace, and Hewitt the most on the remaining hitters.

    edit: Forgot Davis.

Yeah, without Rickie's power or OBP skills

Just raw upside. Could work out, I suppose. But they coulda done better.

    It's Billy Beane's A's...

I know you don't draft for need, but.....

Brett Wallace to the Cards? They're pretty set at First Base and that's the only thing he can handle.

Seems like a lot of pitchers are falling.

It is, but there a still a hand full of great high school pitchers (Hicks, Cole, Mellvile), and Tanner Scheppers, Christian Friedrich
