Thieves 'Knew What They Were Doing,' Police Say

ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- New York Giants Super Bowl rings were among $2 million worth of precious items stolen from an Attleboro jewelry company, according to the team.

The white gold rings set with diamonds were designed by Tiffany and Co. and valued at $25,000 each.

Thieves disabled the alarm system at E.A. Dion's factory on Franklin McKay Drive, cut a hole in the roof and made off with a safe that weighed at least 1,000 pounds, Attleboro police Capt. David Proia said. The safe contained gold, gems and the rings.

"Whoever did this knew what they were doing," said Proia. The theft occurred sometime over the weekend.

The players for the Super Bowl champions had received their rings in May. These rings were intended for members of the Giants staff, team spokesman Pat Hanlon said.

The incident was discovered by an employee on Sunday when she was unable to access her work e-mail from home, apparently because phone lines had been cut.

Company President Edward Dion Jr. refused to detail what had been stolen, but said the company is running as normal and customers know "we've run into a bit of a hiccup."

Police said they have no suspects.

Of course they can but they wanted experienced people and where else do you
go for vast amounts of Championship ring experience? That's right, New England! :P

(It's up, up, deep enough, it's a home run!) "Folks, that pitch was so there that

Because illicit videotape comes from New England, as everyone knows, and New England is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the ring in front of you."

Another slow pitch... ;)

Yeah, but it's been sooooo looong ago and all those great NY craftsmen have
died and never passed on their skills since single gay men can't procreate with
each other. :D
