I wonder if he had a dog. He seemed like a golden retriever type.

I didn't know what his party choice was but the rest is what I meant.
OK, I am jumping off this speeding train right now!!!

He used to work for Mario Cuomo and Daniel Patrick Moynihan before getting into journalism.

Oh my God. :(

I watch Meet the Press every Sunday. Probably my favorite anchor on television. Smart, balanced, never afraid to ask the tough questions.

Great family man too. His son just graduated BC and he wrote that book about his father last year.

What a huge, sad loss.

RIP, Mr. Russert.

That's something I never thought about. Does the death of the dog's owner include the dog itself? "Man's Best Friend" should go along for the ride, no? What if the family always hated that dog; can they kill it immediately because they're human-beings or do they have to slowly starve it to death and make it look natural?

And before someone says "this is inappropriate, you are such a hater" let me remind you that I am not a hater at all; I just hate dogs.

I always get in trouble in death threads. I need to stop doing that.

No he didn't. I can remember how he used to gush over Clinton. He ws about as unbiased as Rush Limbaugh.

I really liked him, and I lost my dad at 58 too. He died while doing voiceovers in the studio for this weekend's Meet The Press broadcast.
