    Bill of Non-rights

    [QUOTE]NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

"We the sensible people of the United States, in an
attempt to help everyone get along, restore some
semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our
nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the
blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our
    great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more
time to ordain and establish some common sense
guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden,
delusional, and other liberal bed-wetter's. We hold
these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of
people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so
dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big
screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to
you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is
    guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be
offended. This country is based on freedom, and that
means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may
leave the room, turn the channel, express a different
opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and
    probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from
harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to
be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer
to make you and all your relatives independently
    wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and
housing. Americans are the most charitable people to
be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we
are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation
after generation of professional couch potatoes who
achieve nothing more than the creation of another
generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one
is my pet peeve...get an education and go to
work....don't expect everyone else to take care of
    you!)

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health
care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public
housing, we're just not interested in public health
    care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically
harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally
maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest
of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the
possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce
away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be
surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you
away in a place where you still won't have the right
to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All
of us want you to have a job, and will gladly
help you along in hard times, but we expect you to
take advantage of the opportunities of education and
vocational training laid before you to make yourself
    useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness.
Being an American means that you have the right to
PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if
you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic
laws created by those of you who were confused by the
    Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We
don't care where you are from, English is our
language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came
    from! (Lastly....)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our
country's history or heritage. This country was
founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you
are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any
faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of
persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our
heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable
    with it, TOUGH!

care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public
housing, we're just not interested in public health
    care.[/B]

Yeah. God forbid we actually treat the sick regardless of their financial situation. We should continue to not only allow millions to not get proper treatment on account of no health insurance, but we should also continue to allow insurance companies to determine whether an insured person's life is worth a lowering of their profit margins. :steamin:

Let me ask, do you attempt to live a healthy lifestyle? And if so, you have no qualms letting the govt take your money and pay for health care for people who don't care what they ingest?

If you're not into living healthily, then I understand your point!

BTW, what's an acceptable "profit margin" for insurance companies, IYO?

Since you are so passionate about providing health care, I'll be sure to send my next Doctor Bill to you. Thanks in advance man, I'm really glad to see that for some, their DEEDS match up to their WORDS on the issue of providing health care.

Then why don't we just get the government OUT of healthcare and return to the cheap World-Class healthcare we had prior the The HMO Act of 1975. Prior to then you didn't need insurance to go to the doctor, which by the way, was the doctor of your choice. Socialized medicine is proven inferior to free-market medicine.

Okay now that I've gotten that petty comment out of the way, yes I do live a healthy lifestyle. But things happen. This isn't just people who don't take care of themselves who universal healthcare would pay for. Cancer does not just strike smokers. Car accidents don't just happen to the drunk drivers.

    What a ghey thread.

This sounds like one of those retarded emails my redneck family likes to pass around themselves on the Internets.

BTW...This country WAS NOT founded on "one true God" STFU about stupid freaking Jesus already. I have a right not to hear about you dorks and what f*cking invisible man you believe in. One true God...suck my wang.

I wish we could euthanize everyone who goes to church.

I assure you, I am most certainly not ashamed of myself in any form. What, you think you're the only person with "personal issues" or that only your issues matter when discussing a national issue like healthcare?

Fact is, you made a strident post about how "we should treat the sick regardless of their financial situation" but like so many free-heathcare types, the second it comes to paying for it, you either point to the next guy, or you get pissed off and offended that anyone would dare mention COST when discussing heathcare. Sorry you're offended that anyone might hold a differeing opinion, but thats your issue, not mine.

And the fact that I am a moderator does not limit me to having no opinions in this forum. I have been an active poster in here for many years, and being a Mod has not and will not change that fact. Be assured of that.

Uhhhhh. They dont. Thats a nice little myth. Sure some will come to the USA from Canada for elective procedures that they are willing to pay out of pocket. And once in a blue moon one will come for a second opinion or an experimental procedure, but on the whole Europeans get their treatment from their own country.

    Nice try though.

BTW are you aware of how many Americans go to Europe to receive treatments for their cancer that are not available here in the USA?? Its about the same # of Europeans coming to the USA.

What Warfish fails to realize is that even in todays system, he DOES pay to treat the sick regardless of their financial situation.
