I am watching ONLY because it is at the 'Cathedral'.

It has gotten so lame and long over the last few years.

I'm actually curious as to how far people are going to hit the ball at Yankee Stadium. Would like to see someone hit a ball into left field bleachers.

LHH will defiantly win it, because of the short porch. My guess is Morneau.

Watch out for Seizmore and the short porch..

Im saying either Utley or Seizmore win it.

Is it me or is this the boringest collection of hitters for the derby in recent memory. Outside of Hamilton, I have absolutely no interest in any other player.

Come on the past two years were pretty decent. Vlad, Ortiz, Howard, and even Wright putting on shows.

Replace Uggla and Morneau with Giambi and Howard and Id be interested.

Game is going to be awesome though.

It was kinda a puss move for A-Rod to not do it, it's the final season in Yankee Stadium, the spotlight was set up perfectly for him and he doesn't even show up (Literally). And I don't buy up the messes with your swing excuse because he's done it in the past and came out just fine.

I don't mind the NL field, they all have 22 HRs or more. Lance Berkman might be the most underrated superstar in the game. I don't think people realize just how great he has been. Uggla has some serious power, Braun is an up and comer, and Utley is a star.

The AL field is kinda weak though. You have to do better then Evan Longoria and Justin Morneau. They have about 30 Home Runs combined this season.

But at least it's not like the slam dunk contest with Nate Robinson performing.

I hope the Derby pitcher isn't a lefty. They've been having their way with hitters in Yankee Stadium this year.

    Yeah, why isn't Howard playing?

I think Hamilton or Berkman takes it. Hamilton hits some absolute monsters and he was known for hitting some absurd tape measure shots back in his early days as a teenager (before the hiatus). Berkman has just been having a filthy year and he will be batting from the LH side of the plate. He's really been one of the more underrated hitters in baseball post Y2K.

Not in the ASG, nor should he be with his .235 BA.

Not an All-Star, he got on fire too late.
