I work on 6th between 51st and 52nd and didn't even know they were doing the parade there today. Got in this morning at 8 and the whole street was red carpet covered. I timed an errand I had to run over on Park Avenue during the parade... When I walked out of the building I saw Eckersley, Feller, Whitey/Yogi in the same car. Then on my way back I walked right by for Pedroia (got his tail booed off), Ichiro, Kinsler, and JETER. Pretty cool surprise for me with him being my childhood hero. He was with his parents and I believe the girl was his sister. I walked right up to the truck he was on and snapped a quick picture with my phone... then got stiff armed to the chest by a cop. They paused the parade every few minutes to let the cars cross 51st so I got right passed the barriers.

Nice little treat for me when I wasn't expecting it at all.

Nice, I shoulda got over there as I didn't do much at work today.

Anyways, this ceremony was awesome but they should of started it at like 745. This game is going to last forever.

It always starts ages after it was advertised to start. Add in the Yankee Stadium aspect too... I factored it all in for my schedule.

I knew it was going to happen, but I would like to get to bed at a reasonable hour.

Thank god Arod doesn't wear those white cleats in real games. They look awful.

If there was I missed it. It may have been during a commercial break. I know they did one last night.
