    Rumor Casey Blake to Mets

Last week my brother mentioned this to me and last night someone on WFAN was talking about the Mets getting Blake.

What should the Mets be willing to part with to get this guy?

    ESPN Blake STATS

It wouldn't take a whole lot, I don't think. I actually wouldn't mind the Yankees taking a look at him. He's a corner infielder who can also play some outfield.

Blake is 35 years old and a FA to be.

He can play multiple positions. The Indians have no reason to keep this guy, so it will take virtually nothing.

And for the Mets, he's a RH not a LH.

Blake would be a perfect fit for the Mets. It wouldn't shock me to see the Indians look for a guy like Argenis Reyes in return.

    I wouldn't trade A. Reyes for him.

Okay okay, Marlon and Cladio Vargas. Fair is fair.

I would prefer to do much better than Blake.

Rumor Blake only to see if other price tags come down. If Church is coming back I am ok with adding Blake otherwise address the situation like a team in a pennant race.

They will want a prospect. Not a very good one, but a prospect...

How about Pagan, Nixon, and Alou. All they have left is the prospect of next year.

Come on guys...you're not going to get him for washed up veterans, or even veterans who is having a late career splurge. They are in rebuilding mode, you have to give them a prospect that has some potential.

Brant Rustich, Dylan Owen, Nathan Vineyard, Robert Parnell, Mike Carp

    Someone like that.

Exactly, all it is going to take is a mid level prospect or two.

Owen maybe. No way I would trade Parnell or Carp.

I hope to god none of you actually thought I was serious in any of those trade proposals. That being said I wouldnt mind a Nick Evans and a mid level pitching prospect going. Maybe include Muniz with someone.

Although I would rather give up two better prospects to bring the X man back to Shea.
