Nady, Marte for Tabata, Ohlendorf, Karstens and McCutcheon

NEW YORK -- According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, the Yankees have acquired outfielder Xavier Nady and reliever Damaso Marte from the Pirates for Jose Tabata, Ross Ohlendorf and two other minor league prospects.
I do not like it one bit.

I would prefer not give up Tabata when his stock is at an all time low, for **** sake... this trade sucks

Assuming the other 2 are lesser prospects that is a very good deal.

Depending on who the other 2 prospects are I think the Yanks win this deal.

You also get 2 years of Nady and he gives you the option to move in another direction in regards to Giambi, Melky and Abreu if you want.

    Rotoworld:
The Pirates will get Jose Tabata, Ross Ohlendorf and two other prospects from the Yankees for Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte, SI.com's Jon Heyman reports.

Pittsburgh came down off its initial price tag an awful long way then. Tabata still has very exciting potential and is incredibly young, but his wrist problem are scary and he's looking like a headcase. Ohlendorf has never been a good bet to develop into anything more than a sixth- and seventh-inning guy. Pitcher Phil Coke is also believed to be in the deal, and he's a true long shot to help.

Lefties hit .094 off of Marte the year before. He's good.

If that's all they gave up very good trade, i like it...

Nady is a solid bat and Marte is a class lefty...

Yankee BP right now can very well be the best in the League...

    Job well done by Cashman...

Good trade for the Yanks. Tabata isn't that good. Nady is solid on defense has a very solid arm and rakes lefties.
