Should Republicans take Alexander Hamiltons Advice?
This election season it seems that many conservative republicans are unhappy with the nomination of John McCain as the presumtive nominee (including myself)... for many true conservatives McCain is just not conservative enough and he slides to the left on many issues... global warming, first amendment, etc.
In the election of 1800 the big-government wing of the Federalist Party had a similar problem... Hamilton and his allies didn't not like the canidacy of John Adams because of his willingness to cross party lines and had this to say on the election:
"If we must have an enemy at the head of the government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures. Under Adams, as under Jefferson, the government will sink. The party in the hands of whose chief it shall sink will sink with it, and the advantage will be all on the side of his adversaries." - Alexander Hamilton
Do you believe that Hamilton is correct in his outlook?
Do you think Hamilton's outlook on the election of 1800 has relevence for todays election?
Would an Obama Presidency (With the economy teetering and his call for more taxation) benefit the Republican party? or is Hamilton completely off base?
For all libertarians/quasi-Republicans/paleo-cons annoyed at mccain and threatening to sit it out/vote for a 3rd party freak/or worst of all talk themselves into voting for comrade osama in a vain attempt at "reform"ing the GOP
b. Hussein will be far far worse- from raising your taxes to appointing ACLU-type SCOTUS justices to expanding govt beyond even today's bloat
do not misundersestimate the long term havoc this soros-backed puppet and a commie congress can wreak in months - it will not necessarily be undone
in decades even if BHO is a one term and done president
killing something you think is sick is not curing it
if you think B Hussein's big floppy ears are cute resist the urge to enable him & buy one o' those troll dolls or rent "Dumbo" instead

Because then everyone will realize how stupid Republicans are once in inexperienced, Muslim Manchurian candidate who will make a national holiday of killing babies and who will raise taxes 4,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 % actually does a better job than George W. "New Haven Cowboy Hayseed" Bush and his Bathroom Blowin' closet Homo repressed Republican congress ever did...
