    Eddie Kunz Called Up

    Mets promote closer Eddie Kunz
    More youth is on the way. Surfing the Mets has learned that Binghamton closer Eddie Kunz has been promoted the Mets, joining a sudden youth movement with Nick Evans, Argenis Reyes and Daniel Murphy. Kunz, the Metsí top pick (42nd overall) in the 2007 draft out of Oregon State, is 1-4 with a 2.79 ERA and 27 saves at Double-A Binghamton.

    It's kinda sad that Kunz is already the reliever I trust the most out of the pen

    Let him get the 8th Inning.

    No clue who got sent down, initial guess is Muniz but they might have DL'ed Sanchez to get him some rest.

    I remember on the Pregame show yesterday they mention that John Maine will pitch next friday but now that he went on the DL is that going to be Jon Niese next week?

    Could be, haven't announced a starter yet. But on Rubin's blog he said that Manuel indicated he was leaning towards using a starter on Friday to break up Santana and Maine, and it would be quite pointless to break them up in favor of another Lefty in Niese, so it could be Vargas instead.
