    ROFL-Jeff Karstens

took a perfect game into the 8th today, and pitched a CG 2 hit shutout...wow.
    Who woulda thunk it?

And now with Joba on the DL...Karstens could have helped?

I think he had a dominating performance in his 1st outing with Pitt as well. Didnt he?

Wow. Hey how's your closer situation?

Regardless Marte has blown but I still like Nady. Good for him.

Wow what? You Yankee fans are getting all defensive in a HURRY for no reason. I'm just bringing up Karstens surprising success and wondering if you guys still wish you would have traded him now that Joba is out...

Maybe we shoulda converted him into an outfielder so he could take Melky's spot, then we'd have hitting outfielders haha.

I didnt realize Ross Olendorf was such a hard throwing. His FB averages around 94 from fangraphs.

Karstens blew here, he will go back to sucking in a little while. Rasner came up and was pitching great then went back to what he is.

The Yankees will regret this trade...especially Tabata. Karsten's can become a #4 type pitcher, back of the rotation innings eater. Ohlendorf will be a late inning bullpen guy for years to come, and I think Tabata will bounce back next year and prove why he was a top 25 prospect in baseball the last 2 years. Pitt's outfield will be SICK in two years with McLouth, McCutchen, and Tabata.

Tabata is suspect. The guy who was interesting to me was Olendorf.

After TJ surgery he made his first appearance yesterday. He was topping out at 96. Next spring he'll be fighting for a job, if not I think we will see him in AAA with Carp and Martinez.

Bannister is surely amazing with his 1.5 whip and .350 baa.

Maybe when our prospects were really weak. Karstens isn't that good, his stuff isn't impressive at all. Whenever he got up to the Majors he got lit up on our team. Maybe he is one of those guys that can't play in a pressure city? He will get lit up again.

Didn't he keep getting hurt? I think he was the guy that got his leg broken by a line drive in last years subway series games.

Maybe he just never got a long enough chance to pitch.
