Need a statement series to start the push towards October.

Ollie needs to start us off big tonight.

Yes, the last month was July.

But the first start in August was the "Bad" Ollie.

    Hence my post.

6 IP, 4 ER, is not that bad.

    Bad Ollie is worse.

    LOL

    6 IP, 4 ER, is a 6.00 ERA.

    Sorry, Kellen...but's that bad.

Maybe not "Bad" Ollie bad, but bad nonetheless.

Disagree. Stats can be used too much, and this is the case here.

If Ollie pitches that, he keeps in the ballgame, its mediocre, but its not bad.

You must think 6 IP, 3 ER is not a quality start, because it's a 4.50 ERA.

    Wasted chances.

Batting under .200 in that situation.

    No..I don't.

"Quality Start" is a meaningless stat that seemed to come out of nowhere and just because it has a label doesn't mean it's a statement of fact.

    OK...whatever.

Point is that, that start wasn't Bad Ollie. Bad Ollie is like 5 BB performances or 1/3 IP, 7 ER.

What a game by Perez. Like Jerry said, when his FB is on like it has been since the mechanics, he's tough.

    Erin showed up, good win.

Season is over today. What is your contract offer to Oliver Perez right now?

5 years 60mill and hope he gives us a discount.

It is a tough call. Is he fixed for good mechanics wise or are we rolling the dice signing him?

Not knowing the FO thoughts on our future staff I would make him a offer.
