McCain Seeks Town-Hall Feel for Acceptance Speech

    NY TIMES
McCain Seeks Town-Hall Feel for Acceptance Speech

ST. PAUL — Senator John McCain will explain “where, how and why” he wants to lead America when he accepts his party’s presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention Thursday night, addressing delegates and the nation from a reconfigured stage the night after his vice presidential choice shook the hall with a fiery debut.
Playing to his strengths I guess...

No...it politics 101. If your attacking your opponent for giving a grandiose speech...you don't do the same thing yourself. Only Bush would fall for that. McCain is way smarter than Bush.

A townhall meeting is a great way to indirectly attack the Obama campaign. It's just smart.

I guess they forget polticis 101 when they chose Sarah Palin as VP, when they nailed Obama for it for months.

I wonder if McCain will tone it down a bit after that pit bull fight last night.

I guess they are leaving the economy to McCain, you would think?

No mention of the middle class, no mention of jobs, no mention of housing.... do they not want to talk about it?

Iraq and belittling Barack Obama has thus far been the Republicans platform

A lot of empty seats. I guess they picked the wrong city to go to. Too many people at home watching the game?

Have you noticed Fox was showing this guy who had a sign saying "you can't win an occupation" for literally a second, then realized and cut away. AND THEN THEY CUT BACK TO HIM AGAIN!

    It was weird.

They're are just trying to chant over the protesters. Kinda like at Yankee Stadium when you hear the small Mets fan chant... but we overpower it.
