    Mangini Neutered..?

I don't want to give Mangini a pass because the gameplan yesterday was awful, but is it possible that Mangini has been neutered?

I mean has he been dealt cards he does not want to have? He seems a bit defeated - less bravado.

How many pieces of gum does Mangini put in his mouth at a time?

I mean, he looks like me when I was 8 trying to get the whole pouch of big league chew in my mouth.

He looks ridiculous on the sidelines.

Stole this below from Integrity28 thread - but this bit explains why I ask this question:

"Eric doesn't seem to know who he wants to be regarding players. At first he was uber-strict, and pulled something out of his bag of tricks every week to inspire them. Now he has "lightened-up" and when was the last time he was written up and applauded for a great pre-game, rally-the-troops effort? The last time this happened was his first year. Mangini was great in year one with the players, strict, but inspiring... game one of last year he had already lost the locker room, because of the Pete Kendall bull ****. Then came Spygate and his waffling over the QB position. Nobody, especially a locker room full of men, is going to respect waffling and indecisiveness."

Has the upper management vetoed Mangini? Is he feeling like a lame duck coach because he "isn't buying the groceries." He just seems different to me starting at the end of last year ...

He had to wear something to cover the Patriots jersey he was wearing underneath.

mangini started out as a maverick but the media questioned him going for it against the Colts in 06 and then again a few weeks later with the onsides kick in the bears game.

He could not handle the media pressure the pressure so now he plays it by the book.

Mangini is a hack---he was a hack in New England, and that's why Belechek took his defensive play calling functions away from him. You team this hack with the Bean Counter Tannenbaum, and that spells more years of suffering.
