Not that I was thinking about McCain as secretary of defense. But why Gates?
Because he's good at the job and not particularly ideological in nature. Why not keep him if he'll stay? Plus, the move would be well received by conservatives and seen that Obama isn't BSing when he talks about bipartisanship.

I think that's a Fox News viewer poll, not a scientific poll run by pollsters like CBS and CNN.

I know you did, I was being facetious that if you add both polls together, which slant to either side, you get a truer result...

    I voted "Obama Killed It".

But my vote should be taken with a grain of salt... I didn't watch or listen to the debate.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Was this a real poll conducted with a voter sample or is this just a "who do you think won?" poll posted on their web site?

    Why watch that?

I like CNN's analysis. Pretty well balanced.

I only check Fox and MSNBC to see how the hardcore partisans are spinning it, or (in MSNBC's case) to try and catch Chuck Todd, who is awesome.

Fox News post debate analysis talking about Bill Ayers right now. Interesting seeing as Ayers didn't come up in the debate they are talking about.

    He's pulling your leg.

I have to admit, that was kind of a funny post though.

CNN has really made some strides lately, they have move decidedly toards the center for some time now...

It's the closest thing to middle among the cable news outlets, and the only one that's not reading talking points on air (or at least that keeps the talking point readers in their own area.)

Fox and MSNBC don't even try. CNN makes an effort at balance.
