I have friends who visited Costa Rica and said it was fabulous.

When we were planning for our big trip last year it was Peru/Bolivia or Costa Rica. We'll get around to it when the little guy is older.

    Argentina 2 - 0 France

Pretty rugged game for a friendly. A ton of fouls, all over the place.

Messi scoredan amazing goal at the end. I'll put it up tomorrow.

good start by Costa Rica in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying, with a 2-0 victory at home against Honduras.

next up: Mexico, on the road. ugh.

We drew 1-1 with Ivory Coast, oddly enough it was the Africans who scored the equaliser in injury time last night.

Argentina came to play last night! No contest, Argentina was head and shoulders above us last night. Back to the drawing board!

There were some pretty nasty fouls. L Diarra would have been sent off in a real match.

up next: Costa Rica vs. Mejico next saturday, IN Mejico.

tough match. Costa Rica comes in undefeated in the qualifying stage so far, and Mejico is in a "crisis" but they're always incredibly tough at home.

we've only beaten them once in Azteca stadium, back in 2001. will history repeat itself???

First 2 qualify directly for the WC.

Then there's a sort direct elimination round for the best 3rd place finishers (I don't know how many).
I found this on ESPN website...it gives an explanation and breakdown of each participating nation...just click on the links for the pools, schedules and results.

To be honest I don't remember the last time we beat anyone in a friendly. We actually got beat 4-0 by Israel and Albania in friendlies. So it'll probably be a walk in the park for you.
