    Rangers biggest rival

So with the Jets non-divisional top rival poll on the main board, I was curious as to what Ranger fans consider their top rival since there are several NHL teams who consider the Rangers their top rivals.

Whoops, I voted as I didn't see you were only asking Rangers fans, but I'd say the Islanders.

no worries, I figure it will be the Isles or Devs, figured I would throw in the Pens because they did have a couple good playoff series in the 90's plus a little renewal last year. Isles have more history, but the Devils have been a lot more competitive since the mid 90's...

Sorry, I voted as well. I'd say it's the Isles and the Isles biggest rival would be the Rangers. This rivalry has more history on its side. Devils would be a close second due to the competitiveness of the team. I believe if both teams continue to be competitive, the rivalry will become even more fierce and possibly surpass the Rangers/Isles rivalry.

    I voted Devs.
    Fish Sticks have become irrelevant.

The truth is, the Devs games are more important & have been for years.

That's kind of surprising. I didn't think the Isles became that irrelevant to Rangers fans. I kinda thought the Flyers would be ahead of the Penguins as well. Pens had some down years prior to their resurgence with Crosby and Co. the last year or two, while the Flyers have been a playoff-caliber team for quite some time now.

I got to thinking of the Pens because I remember how much my Ranger fan friends HATED those teams of the 90's... with the resurgence I was just wondering if that has made its way back to the forefront yet.

I know a lot of people hate the Flyers and I think they consider the Rangers their biggest rivals if not the Devs.

I HATE the Flyers. As a Devils fan, they are right up there with the Rangers as biggest rival. The years of the Devs last two Stanley Cup's, the Flyers were definitely my most hated team, mainly because they were more competitive than the Rangers.
