yes it was. He had higher than average demand for people to see him speak, and he upgraded the size and scope of venue. That's a legitimate campaign expense. He served the people with that expense.

If McCain/Palin needed to upgrade to a stadium to give a big speech that's legit as well.

What isn't legit is using campaign donations for luxury clothes, and keeping those clothes. That's illegal.
You're simply wrong and your opinion is obviously Hypocritical.

Obama did not require a Stadium nor Greek Columns and a Holywood Light Show to accept his nomination. Every penny the Dems spent on that could have been given to charity, and Obama would still be kicking McCain/Poolins arse on election day.

You yourself have said repeatedly that Presidential elections hinge on looks. If your previously stated opinion stands, then it makes every sense for the Party to outfit Palin (who clearly did not own an "appropriate" VP-Campaign Wardrobe) for the role she was about to play.

Thirdly, I guarantee you Obama, Michelle Obama, Pelosi and most other dems all wear clothes of a similar value when called for. Difference is, most Politicians get those clothes for free from designers, for the free Pub. They then keep them afterwards as a perk.

Palin, on the other hand, was given nothing. They bought them, and they will be donated post-election. You tell me which sounds more like "illegal" actions to me.

End result here is that Libs and the Media apparently think Palin's Skirt is more of a legitimate issue than Obama's Socialism, or his relationships with questionable people.

Nothing new, of course, but still pretty luaghable all the same.

The only reason they said these clothes were going to charity is because they were caught using campaign funds to buy them.

you can make any guaruntee you want but it's a fact the Obama's don't wear that caliber of clothes... even for free. We are talking about 4 figures for shoes. We don't see Barack Obama wearing Armani or Michelle wearing Valentino.

But Palin wearing Prada makes her a real American?

Remeber this is the same woman who has been bilking the state of Ak for per diems, free flights and all sorts of "necessary" expenses as governor.

She's the biggest freeloader in this campaign, either side.

Ray ray calling people an idiot in another thread, no mod action on that

meanwhile you can say I have nothing of value to say and it's not a personal attack? What is it, pray tell? an objective observation?
you should vote for a man who is honest enough to not use his own campaign donations on luxury items.
His campaign has soaked $600+ million from the private sector, impressive in an economy he claims is broken.

Oh and campaign finance reform? Ha, ha ha ha. He meant it at the time...

    Change we can believe in.

Well, you are entitled to think what you wish. Deep and unrelenting bias and an utter lack of objectivity is every man and womens right in America.
It's nice to see such a fair minded Liberal like yourself attacking someone's family and using Comedy central as a reliable news source. Yet the Man of Change picks a old white guy whose a Gaff machine what a great choice..
Attacking her family? Warfish said in the grand scheme of things her family is average American. I just pointed out having kids who are high school drop outs is not average American.

Also I said her town doesn't look too cool and yes it was a comedy sketch. Saying her town doesn't look to cool is just an impression I got. It wasn't like I make some statement of grand impact.

So let me ask you this. You think that Biden's gaffe's show someone who should think more before he speaks or it shows someone with a lack of intellectual depth or knowledge on the issues?

Thats exactly what it is Bit. My OPINION on your OPINION.

Now, where did Ray call someone an Idoit at?

Lol, you won't be waiting for long Bit.

Hopefully your mood and over-sensativity will change once your team is running the show.

    the Obama's own 1 house. the McCains own 13. That's a fact.

no one has seen either Obama wearing multi-thousand dollar outfits, that's also a fact. they wear nice clothes they do not wear super-rich clothes. Cindy Mccain wore 300k worth of outfit in one appearance. also a fact.

there is nothing biased or unobjective in either of those statements. If you think you can refute them, please try.

I agree with you. It seems like McCain has let political handlers hijack his campaign and I bet you that will be something he will regret for the rest of his life.

McCain's great stregnth as a candidate was his independence and attractiveness he had from the political center. He has totally given up on that and seems to have been convinced that all he had to do was to excite and turn out his base to win. Well his same handlers were successful in running this type of campaign for Bush, but this year is not the same as 2000 and 2004.

There is no question that Cindy McCain is very wealthy.

Same way Hienz-Kerry was very very wealthy.

I didn't hear you objecting then Bit. Seems this aversion to having a wealthy wife is a rather new development for you.
no one has seen either Obama wearing multi-thousand dollar outfits
Opinion, not fact. You have no idea (nor do I) how much their clothes cost, or what was given and was what purchased.
is nothing biased or unobjective in either of those statements. If you think you can refute them, please try.
What is there to refuse exactly here Bit? That you care more about Palins threads than Obama's Relationships? That you hate the wealthy, unless it's your party putting up the wealthy wife'd candidate? That you beleive Presidential Politics is a Beauty Pageant, until it's the other side that engages in looking good?

As long as Cindy McCain didn't use government money to buy her 13 houses, what do I care how many she owns? People rip on the McCains for being rich, when 4 years ago many of you supported John Kerry. And he was poor, right?

I don't really care if the nominee wears nice cloths, or not so nice. I don't care how many houses, who they sleep with. I care about what the nominees want to do with the country, and what they want to do with my money.

So McCain should have to give Obama 6 of his houses. Then they'll be even.
