Or maybe my stat is just in Liga.

I just looked it up: they've taken 52 of the last 54 possible points. Not too shabby

Manure have basically locked up the Premier - and Giggs scored the PFA player of the year - the Welsh ****.

He only started 14 or so games in the Premier this year - can't work it out myself. Maybe it was the competition in the PFA voting - thought our lad Gerrard had a stellar year though and he was the only non-Manure player up for the vote. Think the vote was taken before Gerrard had a stunning run of form where he ripped Manure and Madrid apart in successive weeks.

To be fair, however, Giggs is a credit to himself and has had a fantastic career - he isn't an arrogant tit like Ronaldo or Rooney, so of any of them I'd have it go to him. Maybe it was like one of those Oscar awards they give to someone for making a dud movie because they missed on winning one for all of the great ones they made in previous years. Sort of like Scorcese winning for The Departed when Casino was a much better movie. In other words, Giggs got it for his 'body of work' rather than just this season. Figure that's the only way he could have won it.

    That's what I was thinking.

People were saying the same for Maldini and the Golden Ball (sounds like a cheesy circus act )

Yeah I'm sure he cries himself to sleep with his trophies..

I'm too lazy to look it up, but he must have an insane résumé.

10 premier league trophies I think - two European Cups. I won't keep on going because it brings a tear to the eye.

All a result of our club's custodians losing sight of what was important and letting the Manure in to dominate England. We really, really screwed it up when the 1990's rolled around.

Having said that, the Manure are a brand these days, and far less a football club, and frankly have been playing like it in the last month or so. The running joke in England is that no one from Manchester actually goes for the Manure - most of their fans actually live in London.

The 90's were Liverpool's lost decade - I often see replays of games in the Premier from the 90's involving both Manure and 'Pool and the standard of play is quite poor when you judge it against games from the same time in other leagues, like the Serie A, for example. So to say that the Manure dominated through that period is relative, really - the Premier was a very poor league defensively in its infancy. Probably a big reason why such a tactically inept manager as Slur Alex Whiskeynose could win it year after year.

We were the dominant club in Europe through the 70's and 80's and then just lost it totally in the 90's. But the good times are back under Rafa Benitez.

    Amazing game

Barca crushes Real 6-2...in Madrid and therefore sealing the Liga title with a 7 point lead.

    Stat of the day:

    Barca's goal differential: +72

For reference: ManU +40, Inter Milan +35, Wolfsburg +30, Marseille +27

I did. Casillas made a few huge saves in the 1st half, and Barca botched another few.

    Insane.
