Why did JFK give up boxing?

He couldn't take a shot to the head.

What a horrible post. Almost sounds like something I would expect to read on a PrisonPlanet.com forum.

The cons don't post here anymore because they are fakes. The party of big giant tough guy Joe the Plumbers can't take a little ribbing from a few overly jubilant Obama supporters? I mean seriously...how many posters here are truly extreme leftists? They are usually the ones that just post a sentence or two of some insane BS that even gets ridiculed by some of the more intelligent "liberals" here. They will die off in the next few weeks whole the rest of us regulars will still be here. We will still be here when Obama f*cks up.

The whole "too liberal" justification is just an excuse to cover up their wussie-ness. Be a man. Face the music. If you can't stand up for your ideas and ideals in a difficult environment, then you must not really believe in what you say. That would make you a poser. Fairweather fan. Kinda makes me wonder what such front runners would do if JI was overrun with Patsy trolls. Would they just give up and runaway from the perceived overwhelming numerical superiority of the Pats fans...or would they fight.
So I try for the most part not to despise my politcial adversaries unless they are Bolsheviks who live to despise/ridicule people .. them I feel perfectly comfortable despising .. but that aside, despising people is something I try to avoid
Wauw, what a perfect circle of illogical thought. To recap, you don't despice people based on politics, unless they're left wing people who despice people based on politics. In which case you despice people based on politics and/or despicing people. Are you a Bolchevik? My head is spinning, but I'm looking forward to the book:

"I haven't met a bolchevik I didn't despice - the story of message board bullying in a socialistic enviroment"

It will propably get bad reviews, but that is obviously because of a leftist and elitist press.
Its not about taking the heat, Matt, if the Obama supporters want to gloat and have some fun at our expense I would find that amusing and stick around just for the laughs, but even after winning the Presidency its the same Bush/Palin bashing, even winning hasn't tamed the lefts appetite, they're still angry at the world, even now they can't just exhale and have some fun, so why would anyone choose to be around that?

Why would people who can't stand Bush, Cheney and Palin feel any differently just because Obama won? What does one have to do with the other. I'm glad Obama won, I'm worried that he'll as Robin Hoodish as some folsk fear AND I still consider the Bush adminsitartion to be historically inept and disingenuous (at best), Palin to be a joke of a candidate.

However, I don't have any enmity for the republican party in general, and certainly not for any individual repubs. I look forward to the emergence of the next wave of Repub leadership and am hoping to have an actual viable choice in 2012 in case Obama does not live up to his potential. As much as anything BO got my vote by default.

Really, Ham, why all the drama?
I know they're all about love because that's what they like to sing about, but I'm just not feeling the love :(

I want to feel the love, I really do, I'm just wondering why me and my kind never seem to feel the love and why it always seems to feel more like disdain and hate?

Because you guys continue to support guys like Bush and Cheney. That's why.

I can't believe that a thread like this even exists. Treatment of Bush a disgrace? The only disgrace is what that fool and his administration did to this country. 4100 soldiers dead, 100,00 + Iraqi civilians dead because of a war based on lies. A crippled economy. Basic freedoms and privacy taken away. No response to a major hurricane. No effort to find Bin Laden. I can go on and on and on. After it's become painfully clear to anyone with an IQ over 70 that BushCo has been an absolute failure, you conservatives STILL want to defend him. WHY??? Do you really think he gives a damn about you or anyone else? Hell, even though the whole world treats him like a pariah, he's not gonna give a sh*t. He got his money and beat his daddy in being president. That's all he wanted. It has nothing, NOTHING to do with politcal affiliation

I have to wonder why you Repubs seem to have a hard-on for lightweight candidates. Qualye, Bush, Palin, FRED FREAKIN' THOMPSON! Are you serious? Why can't your party get their act together and nominate someone who's actually qualified to be president? McCain was not a bad choice but he should've been the GOP nominee in 2000. How the hell did you guys vote for Bush over him? Was the thought of McCain having a black child out of wedlock REALLY that much of a deterrent? (nevermind that it wasn't true) McCain in 2000 was the real deal, the real maverick, and he probably would've won...and I probably would've voted for him. And I guarantee he would've done a much better job of being president than the Giggling Murderer.

If your party had any brains and guts, they would tell Palin to go back to Mooseland and try to get Bobby Jindal to be the nom for 2012. A young, moderate, QUALIFIED candidate. Why is it so hard for you Repubs to vote for someone like that?

So to answer your question Ham, that's why you're not feeling the love. Your continued support for an administration that did so much harm to our country means you don't deserve the love.

Just a quick comment: There is a difference between being racist and being racially insensitive. There are obviously a lot of racially insensitive people on this board, but few racists.

If you want to think his race played a significant part of him getting nominated and elected, then I would argue that it was the fact that he is half-white that turned the tide in his favor, not that he is half-black. He is both white and black, in a way it's common ground.

Honestly, the Bush bashing will never end as long as there are people trying to candy-coat his presidency. These people are like the people who think OJ is innocent of killing his wife; they just get laughed at and are not taken seriously because of how blatantly wrong they are. Just accept it and move on.
