great....we have the political equivalent of Herm Edwards as our President!
Words are neither actions nor results. They are just words and if you go based on oration that is idiotic.
I'm sure Hitler was a very inspiring orator as well. That skill means nothing dumb@ss

Right... because rousing speeches full of optimism do nothing for good, only evil right?

    - Patrick Henry meant nothing to America.
    - The Gettysburg Address... nada.
    - Teddy Roosevelt, JFK, Ronald Reagan... inspiring but EH so was Hitler right?
    - Martin Luther King Jr.... nothing to see here.
    - Barry Goldwater didn't do anything for Conservatism with his speech in 1964... it was just words really.

Only the fools on both sides of the aisle go ONLY for oration... but denying it's importance and power is also a fool's task.

For that and for breaking Godwin's law you my friend are the dumb@$$.

Oh give me a break dude... don't even pretend like this is a one-sided issue. As if every person who voted for Bush or McCain was so knowledgable of their government, current events, and the policies of who they were voting for.

    This reeks of hypocrisy. :poop:

JFK was the biggest Joke of a President this country will ever see. Total Criminal, just Like his Bootlegging Father who dealt with criminal organization's to get his kid elected. Then didn't deliver on the deal. You play with fire you get burned. JFK and the Kennedy's are the worst of the worst. Typical Liberals' Change unless it hurts me.

My wife and I are friendly with a woman who owns and runs a daycare in our area....She and I carefully got into a political discussion until we found we were both politically like minded, and she told me a story that was stunning.

A woman who has a child in the daycare cannot afford to pay her monthly bill and keeps bouncing checks....The owner said to her that by bouncing checks she is making it difficult to keep her books and by not paying, her child is taking up a spot that another family could occupy.

Her answer to her dilemma was "If Obama gets elected, we'll be fine and we'll be able to pay you".

That is how downright stupid some (and I say "some") of the Obama voters were....They listened to what they wanted to hear and think the day after he gets in office, everything will be just fine.

That kinda reminds me of the guy I spoke to in 2004 that said if John Kerry gets elected the United States would be nuked or he'd surrender the country to Al Qaeda.

Or the woman that said if McCain gets elected then abortion will be no more in America.

It goes both ways... and you're smart enough to realize it.

All above mentioned backed up their words....Lets see what happens in the next 4 years....Obama is already backpeddling by saying it's going to take longer than 4 years to fix whats wrong.

You are correct....There are idiots on both sides of the isle, and we think whoever is on that opposing side is a bigger idiot....It's partisan politics run amok.

-Patrick Henry had the right message. Obama's socialism doesn't.
-Lincoln's Gettyburg address had little immediate impact on the nation. It's stressed in history class today but it didn't really change anything.
-Roosevely, JFK, Reagan were all very flawed
-MLK, if you listen to his message, had a lot more in common with Ron Paul's message than Obama's message because he stressed seeing people as individuals rather than breaking them down into categories
-Goldwater, like Patrick Henry, had a message that was the complete opposite of Barack Trotsky

So I don't see your point here. If anything, it confirms my original point.
It's not the oration skills, it's the MESSAGE behind the oration that matters more.

Haha you think that's backpeddling? First off he never said "I can fix all of this in 4 years" and if he did the right would've had a field day.

He's being honest in his assessment... if he came out today and said "Do what I say and it'll be fine by 2012" people would be saying that he's being disingenuous and overly idealistic.
