A few notes on CC Sabathia.

CC said his infamous opt-out clause was Brian Cashman’s idea to make him comfortable. But he plans on being in New York for the duration of his deal. He and his wife said they plan to sell their home in California and relocate full-time to New Jersey. Amber Sabathia said that Johnny and Michelle Damon were instrumental in the recruiting process.
    - For all the flack NJ gets, it's funny that CC chose NJ over NY.

10 bucks say he lives in Alpine or Saddle River

    - Hey Hammer... you can thank Johnny Damon, his lovely wife, and that "pencil pushing" Brian Cashman for our power pitching ace.

    - I'll have this post saved in 3 years, when CC can opt it, and see if CC is a straight shooter, but selling his house and moving here full time is a big commitment.

If he pitches well for 3 years, he'll opt out to get a pay raise. If that's what the Yankees had to do to get him for a minimum of 3 years, than so be it.

Better CC here for 3 years and opt out than CC on the Angels for 6 years.

Maybe he's a joisy type of guy. Jersey is beautiful and maybe he can't be near the hustle and bustle. Many New Yorkers move to NJ for this reason..

He won't get more money than he is making with us. So if he opted out then its because he wants to play else where.

Unless you are a penthouse type like Derek Jeter you dont live in NYC if you have money. Guys with families usually opt for the suburbs.
