we need a guy who can burn the other team deep as the teams seems to have no respect as even phil simms just mentioned on tv.

Guys, please stop this madness....wide receiver is one of the LEAST of our concerns. A guy that can burn deep? We have one, he is called David Clowney.

What is the point of these 'deep burners' when we haven't had a QB in over a DECADE who can throw the ball deep? Kinda like lying beside a naked Pamela Anderson and being gay....a tragic waste.

What the hell is it with the Clowney fanatics?

WR is one of our bigger concerns on our roster right now. Coles is getting long in the tooth and Cotchery is a very good #2, nothing more.

Outside of those guys who do we have? Stuckey looks like a solid possession receiver, Smith is nothing more than a gimmick, Wright is strictly ST material, Clowney has one catch in his NFL career.

Receiver has to be near the top of our priority list. I'd love a speedy guy like Harvin or Heyward-Bey.

yes and our QB situation, our absolute ZERO pass rush, and no depth on either line should be ignored so we can get a SPEED burner on the outside....

It sure as hell wouldn't hurt anything.

As for the QB situation, sign Cassel. If the Pats let him hit the market, snatch him up. I don't care if people want to point to a surrounding cast of Moss and Welker or Belichick's coaching. The guy has progressed every week as a starter and has stepped up bigtime in bad weather conditions. He's still a young guy with four years experience in a pro offense.

As for the passrush, the reason it has slowed is because of coaching. We have the talent to rush the QB, we just choose not to for some reason.

Depth on the offensive and defensive lines can be found and devloped in the mid-late rounds of the draft.

So again, what is wrong with the Jets getting a young, dynamic deep threat at wideout?

What good is that going to do when you dont have a competent QB behind center. Farve is retiring. Clemens is terrible and Ratliff has only beaten 3rd string defenses. Better worry about a QB before a WR.

Patriots will tag him, make sure Brady's knee checks out, then trade him to ensure he doesn't go to the Jets.
