After observing the disgrace that is ESPN fabricate another story tonight (Shanahan to the Chiefs) I started to wonder what are the best web sites to get solid information about the NFL. The media, in general, has become a cess pool of gossip columnists and canned stories with very little 'real' reporting. This holds true in the sports field as well. ESPN, as one example, exists on sensationalism and WWE-quality story lines. If I am interested in watching T.O. do sit ups in his drive way I'll turn to ESPN. My question to the passionate football fans at this site is this; what quality web sites do you use when you want real insight into the NFL? Who do you trust? God knows its not John Clayton :zzz:
Personally, I use Adam Schefter's blog for the latest information;
Hey man, pulling for the Cards I assume? I was at the game vs. the Eagles last weekend. I think they've got a fighting chance in this SB, just can't get down by more than 7 early in the game.
I was at the game as well. Couldn't pass on the op to see a championship game! The energy in the stadium was amazing. I like the Cards chances as well. They have to be able to run the ball to set up the pass. If their defense can play as well as it has the past couple of games anything can happen. Oh yeah, no mistakes from Warner either!
Cards team doctor was in my restaurant tonight. For what it's worth,
Boldin is 100%, & Hightower will play.
Favorite sign from the game:
"WE ARE WHO WE THOUGHT WE WERE"!
I agree and, in fact, this is the first place I turn to when I want to know up to the second information on our beloved team. I just cannot believe how bad ESPN has become. John Clayton and Chris Mortensen are such frauds that they should be fired for stealing money. Except that if they got fired then you would have to let go of 3/4 of the ESPN staff. Mensa candidates like Kenny Mayne and Keyshawn Johnson would have to get real jobs and work. :rolleyes:
