#3 FA QB according to WalterFootball

I was wandering through WalterFootball's list of 2009 free agents when I saw this. Look at #3.
Brett Ratliff (ERFA), Jets. Age: 24.
One of the bright young quarterbacks in the NFL, Brett Ratliff - not Kellen Clemens - is set to take over as the starting signal caller if Brett Favre retires. Ratliff will be retained for small money.
They were right on the money. 2 year deal close to the league minimum.

How come Ratliff is not listed as a FA (as all our other FA's are) on Warfish's '2009 jets player movement' sticky?

Funny thing that i saw was our own Ratliff having the same amount of stars as Matt cassell who played all those regular season games.Makes you think that a Jet fan is behind this.

While I like seeing Jets getting recognition, this is as stupid as people proclaiming him the starter here without seeing him take one snap against a top caliber defense. You may as well have Clemens there.

Ha! His hype is getting bigger.

    That is wild.

And to think of all the voices on here calling for Leftwich.

And I was wanting Cris Simms (if we brought in anyone for experience) and they have him all the way down at 17.

    WOW!

Considering he's never started a preseason game, let alone a regular season one, that's pretty absurd.

hah, while i have no comment on that perticular article, walterfootball actually does some really great mock drafts with good insight and nice player analysis. I visit them yearly leading up to draft.

Collins gets the Titans to the Playoffs and makes the Pro Bowl yet they have a guy who has yet to throw ONE ball in his NFL career during the regular season ahead of him.

Horrible site, now i know why i haven't been there before.

Please. Kerry Collins is an averge QB with an excellent offensive line. Nothing special.

He was a replacement in the Pro Bowl. He did not have a Pro Bowl season IMO. Not even close.
