    and before colorado they were known as the Kansas City Scouts..ironic when you think that maybe thats where the Islanders could end up.

    Calgary used to be the Atlanta Flames I think. Also fun trivia there used to be a team in Oakland in the 60s and 70s called the California Golden Seals

    true. they entered the league in 1967 as the Oakland Seals. Were owned by Charlie Finley. they were terrible. They lost to the Rangers 12 - 1 at MSG one time.

    also, they folded. were not sold or moved, just folded.

    St. Louis actually came from Ottawa from my recollection.

    I don't think so. They were simply one of the 6 expansion teams added in 1967.
