    Joke:

What's the difference between a porcupine, and a BMW?

    Answer:

The pricks are on the outside of the porcupine. :D

    FUNNY! :D

It's comedy man! I'm sure none of us who post here were even around when this was happening. The only way to make things not bother you anymore, is to laugh them off. Don't take life too seriously?

I didn't mean it like that? I meant that this world isn't the same as it was back then. The Holocaust isn't something to laugh at. But be honest, have you ever heard a comedian or two make jokes about serious subjects that were just so distasteful that they were funny? That's the joke of it man. I don't think that the Holocaust was funny at all. It's just that put into a comedic context where the subject isn't meant to be serious, it's okay to laugh. It doesn't make you jerk, or even inconsiderate. It's life. Just as long as you do have true respect for the seriousness of the subject, you should be human enough to find tasteless humor in things once in a while.

The Buy American campaign is a symptom of what killed the US car companies... Don't make a better car, convince Americans that buying a crappier car for more money made "in the USA" is "Patriotic".

American cars are less expensive then most competive foreign brands.

    Better value IMHO.

I do agree that Ford, Doge, Chrysler killed themselves with horrible marketing.

The young generation has a perception of American cars being bad/uncool. My daughter needed a new car and I found her a brand new Ford Focus for $10,000 @ 0%, cute car, had built in GPS and a fancy stereo. She opted to buy a 2 year old Subaru WRX For $18,000, granted the WRX is way neater then a Focus.

Marketing and a clearly inferior product.

They have gotten closer, especially Cadillac, but until an American car company can make something that rivals one from Bavarian Motor Works I'm keeping my BMW.

The ironic thing is that several BMW models are made here in the US but a lot of people complain about others not "buying American" as they watch the Jets on a Sony TV instead of an Emerson.
