The cat was in my yard again yesterday. I rolled a small rock at it to scare it off. He pounced on the rock thinking it was another mouse.
Oh God... it has a taste for flesh now... what have you done??

My wife is into feeding birds and squirrels-bigtime. To the tune of about $40 bucks a month. This is part of the reason we have flying squirrels in our roof,
not to mention chipmunks throughout my car in the winter. We have at at least 10 or 12 different species of birds in our yard at anytime, and although the cat can't get the birds now, we are coming upon baby bird season. This is not gonna be good. My wife is going to be very bummed out.

    I need a plan.

I had alot of flying squirrels in my attic. Those Hav-a-heart traps didn't work. Had to use rat traps baited with peanut butter. 12.8 removed (couldn't find a couple eyeballs).

Thanks, that's not really my style. The only reason I axed the mouse was because last year a few got in the basement and pissed in the insulation. Quite the smelly ordeal and I had to replace some of the insulation.

Coyotes. And we get those too every once in a while. Actually, that's what I'm hoping for.

I guarantee if you've got them in your attic they're pissing in the insulation. You may have luck removing them alive (I did try) but then what do you do with them? You'd have to take them pretty far away so they don't come back.

    Good luck.

I've got 'killer' watching the front yard now. Dog in background is better at chasing slugs and tortoises.

I need some feed-back on my PaulieC post impression before I get whacked, timmeh.

    T'is good.

Although it's possible Paulie, whilst constructing the sentence, would have elected to utilize a hyphen: hand-hewn.
