    The Draft is over,so where are we actually

    How do we stack up talentwise.I consider these to be the Premium positions on a Football team,so let's see what we have.

    QB = Mark Sanchez
    LT = Brick Ferguson
    PR = Vernon Gholston
    NT = Kris Jenkins
    CB = Darrelle Revis

    Looks like we're short 1 Premium position Player.

    Top Players at the other Positions

    OL = Mangold
    RB = Leon Washington
    TE = Dustin Keller
    WR = Jerrico Cotchery
    S = Kerry Rhodes

    Looks like we maybe short 1 bigtime wr.

    Overall,the Jets appear to have solid to quality people at every level on the team.Is this team now a contender.

    Dont forget about the 1-2 punch of David Harris and Bart Scott because I cant think of a 3-4 Defense with a better 1-2 Punch at the IMLB positions. Put those two guys behind Kris Jenkins? Our run defense can be tough as nails here in 2009.

    Also...What about Faneca? He's one of the best if not best LG in the game today when it comes down to run blocking.

    I would put Pace over Gholston at this point. But, I agree we have a lot of talent (especially young talent). The only glaring need is WR.

    Who is the current favorite to be the 2nd starting WR? Clowney, Smith, or Stuckey?

    If we don't make any moves at WR I expect Clowney to win the #2 spot in TC.

    make no mistake about it, this team has talent. we were a head coach away from doing big things last year. tannenbaum will get us a good WR before camp starts and If sanchez is who we hope he is we have as good a chance as anyone to win the division.

    I'm guessing you mean Pass Rusher and not Punt Returner :)

    As NJJ mentioned, Pace is our stud LB right now. Gholston is nothing but potential.

    Having a stud WR would be so nice. Itís possible we could be okay though if the young guys pick it up. Last year our receivers couldnít separate from coverage much. Right now I anticipate having Clowney and Cotchery as wideouts and Stuckey in the slot. Clowney is so key for us as things stand. His limited experience, I believe, give him a better chance at providing that impact we need as compared to one of these hopefuls just drafted.

    solid FA on D this offseason

    and in the draft... you have a solid draft if you come away with 3 starters

    Sheldon... CB (opposite Revis)
    Sanchez... QB of the future
    Green... possible every down power back

    Im happy with this draft... the future looks good... and Im buying what Tanny and Rex are selling
