The first WR I can think of was Irving Fryer in 1984. I don't know if there was someone before him, though
We have a winner! Good call, Batman. Irving Fryar it is. I guess TX was still openly a Jets fan back then :)

Ok...someone else step up with a few.

    First WR drafted #1 overall

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Babcock_(American_football))

Leon Hart was also a #1 pick as a receiver in 1949 but he was more of a tight end.

Between 1970 and 1979 the Jets had 6 picks in the top 10 overall of the draft, 5 of them played 100 games or more, all of them offensive players, name them:

I found this online, I wouldn't know if I didn't look it up, and would be impressed if anyone gets all of these without cheating

    This is from memory.

Gonna guess Riggins is one. Not sure if Wesley Walker was a top-10 pick. Gotta be some linemen in there but not sure who.

Who was the only guy to play for the Celtics, Bruins and Red Sox?

Who is the only player to ever lead the NBA in scoring and assists in the same year?
