Joba gets lit up, Pettitte follows with an even worse performance, then CC struggles but Yanks come back and win a close one.

Mariners take 2 of 3. Meanwhile, Red Sox sweep Baltimore. Yanks 5 games out by the weekend.

Here is something interesting about Joba and Pettitte....

    Joba-Home ERA=5.18 Away ERA=2.74 0-2 at home.

    Pettitte-Home ERA=5.77 Away ERA=2.79 3-2 at home

But hopefully our bats stay hot and we come up with at least winning 2 out of 3.

Well it's starting to rain here in North Jersey, but here's the Yankees lineup tonight:

    1. Jeter SS
    2. Damon LF
    3. Teixeira 1B
    4. Rodriguez 3B
    5. Cano 2B
    6. Posada C
    7. Matsui DH
    8. Swisher RF
    9. Cabrera CF

Pena is still here because Hinske's flight was delayed from Pittsburgh.

Last time I looked at the weather before a game it said 'severe thunderstorms imminent'...

Not a drop of rain spilled that game...

    Anywho, here's the report...

Tonight...Mostly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms likely this evening...Then a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Patchy fog after midnight. Some thunderstorms May produce gusty winds and small hail this evening. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds 5 to 10 mph...Becoming east after midnight. Chance of rain 60 percent.

    I'm cautiously optimistic...

I already bought the beer... I'm half way done with the first one...

By 7, if they're not playing, I'm not going to be a happy camper
