Compared to the Rangers the Jets are doing just fine.

    1 Cup: 65 years

    1 SB: 40 years

We can skew the data any way we want too...

    Rangers last cup: 15 years

Jets last Super Bowl: 40 years

Championships/ number of years in existence:

    Rangers:

    4 cups in 83 years= 1 cup every 20 and 3/4 years....

    Jets (Since Super Bowl 1)

    1 Super Bowl in 42 years= 1 SB every 42 years

Sather has made some good moves with the signing of gaborik and all. But for some reason, fans tend to use hindsight when judging him: Drury, Gomez-- was anyone calling those bad signings from the very beggining? I think not...

BTW...Even though we could not get rid of Redden or Rozzy, our defense should be solid...The question is will we be able to get more offensive production with the limited money we have left to spend. Under Torts system, with the addition of Gaborik, and up and comers Duby and Callahan, I think there's reason to be optimistic.

Good players, but overpaid players was pretty much the consensus at the time, from what I recall. Which for the most part turned out to be true.

We've only improved if Gaborik can stay on the Ice, which needless to say I'm skeptical on.
