Mets vs. Phillies @ Citizens Bank Park

Friday, July 3rd, 7:05 PM ET

Livan Hernandez, RHP (5-3, 4.04) vs. Rodrigo Lopez, RHP (0-0)

Saturday, July 4th, 4:05 PM ET

Fernando Nieve, RHP (3-1, 2.25) vs. Jamie Moyer, LHP (6-6, 6.05)

Sunday, July 5th, 1:35 PM ET

Johan Santana, LHP (9-6, 3.34) vs. Joe Blanton, RHP (4-4, 5.08)

Would be really nice if Mets took 2/3. LGM!

First 2 games are a toss up, Mets should win 3rd game.

If Nieve has his control back tonight, and velocity we should win, and if Johan brings his A game tomorrow we should win which would put the Mets in a tie with the Phils.

Seems like the Mets luck has finally run out.

Any word on when Reyes and Beltran will be back?

What luck? Seriously? We haven't been lucky since Buckner.

They were pretty lucky to be one game back with this rag tag squad they are fielding.

    My
    Entire
    Team
    Sucks

has never been more appropriate. There is nothing on this team. It's not all injuries, everyone else sucks too.

Only in the sense that the Phillies were playing down to us, we were .500 entering that series (Or about 5 under since all the injuries started to pile up)

It really is injuries, problem is when you're missing 6 key players (7 if you want to include Wagner), there's usually not much left and you're forced to ask people to do more then they're otherwise capable of. Add in our one legit hitter in Wright going into a slump, and yeah. Things get ugly, and quickly.

We're in a real hole now, 4 out of the division, 5.5 out of the Wild Card, a bad week and we could be selling instead of buying.
