    2009-10: All Championships Thread

Our random thoughts thread if you will. Any news from any championship, awesome goals ..etc

Turk, Erding scored his first goal for us last night. Had a crap 1st game, and looked good last night.

Americans, your boy Davies (who plays for Sochaux) sparked a rally in a losing effort against Bordeaux (3-2). Came in at the half and scored 2 goals.

We're off to a good start as well, we've played 6 competitive matches 4 in the preliminaries of the "Euroleague" and 2 in the league, won 5 drew 1. Scored 3, 4 and 6 the last 3 matches.

Kewell scored two last weekend, albeit both from penalty kicks, and Keita looks like he's going to be a force in our league. Elano hasn't played yet, it's going top be a sick group of attackers once he's in the lineup as well. Kewell, Baros, Elano, Arda, Keita and Nonda. It's going to be a fun season.

oh and; Rijkaard is a football God and Neeskens is his prophet!

we're going full steam ahead, in the middle of the week we beat a poor estonian team called talinn 5-0 and last night we beat Kayseri 4-1.

    Elano scored a beuty:

Check out the second goal, Keita has also started very well for us:
Nonda (remember him?) scored a hat trick in this one:

    Where was their defense..?

    Looks like Keita's coming along.

    The kits look awful.

You bet on Ligue 1 games?? Wow, that’s hardcore.

I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet, but like our beloved Jets, with us, you never know…Lille has had a bad start (1 point in 3 games), and desperately need something to get going. They are better than their standing.

Our attack is very good (Erding scored again last weekend) and Hoarau who scores 50% of our goals has been injured and should get the nod this weekend. Our weakness is defense. Last weekend against Valenciennes, they NINE starters out with injuries and still scored 2 goals and put massive pressure on in the end.

I bet really small amounts just for fun.

    This weekends ticket:

    B.Münih over Wolfsburg 1,55
    St.Etienne over Grenoble 1,45
    Inter over Milan 2,20
    Celtic over Hibs 1,40
    Heracles-Ajax - 2,20 Fewer than 3 goals
    PSG over Lille 1,60
    Bilbao over Espanyol 2,00
    Roma over Juve 2,60
    Galatasaray over Ankaraspor 1,25

I'll mix and match amongst these but now I'm thinking of playing over 3 goals for you guys instead of a win.

That would be safer IMO. This year I'm guessing we will have games with a lot of goals.

Guess I'll give you guys a regular update on how Davies is doing in Ligue 1 (and of course if Donovan ends up in Paris). Davies is one the surprises of the begining of Ligue 1 Championship. he even had a full page report on him in L'Equipe which is a daily Sports newspaper read religiously by all sports fans.

Last night he was all over the place and drew the foul which led to the game winning penalty. He's doing very good for himself.

Milan got straight up pwned. They looked terrible, and the frustration came through with Gattuso getting a red card. It might be a very long season.

Davies started this weekend in a losing effort. I didn't see the game, but what is interesting, is he landed the night before after his 2 games with team USA, and started. It goes to show how much Sochaux counts on him.

We beat the defending champions 3-0 this weekend. Us and the sewerbirds are left alone at the top with 15 points from 5 games each.
