Absurd. I'm sure he wants to put this behind him, but he can't take that deal.

And BigBensAngel, Vader wasn't framed. He turned evil. Not the best comparison for your starting QB, lol.
vader was framed by the emperor to turn evil bc the emperor told him that together they could figure out how to stop people from dying.
Your loved one should be banging hotter chicks than this.
i totally agree 100%. hell i would divorce my husband for him ;)
This is a very calculated move on her part; she removes the stigma of being perceived as going after his money, gives the impression of sincerity and puts him in a catch 22 position- donate to the charity and it will be perceived as an admission. Don't donate and it may make him look callous or unsympathetic.

It also may rally that charity's members or its supporters to her cause out of sympathy with the attendant publicity and legal support such organizations may possess.
That's the intent but I don't think that it will have that effect. I think that most people, and obviously most of us here, can see right through that tactic as merely an attempt to save face and somehow get Ben to concede guilt implicitly.

If I were Ben, I would counter by offering to donate $100,000 to research on bipolar and personality disorders.
Smart woman. There's no way he can take that deal - it would cripple him professionally - but she just erased the "she's just a golddigger out for a payday" defense.
I dissagree, Doggin.

The goldigger out for a payday is still there. She only came up with this AFTER Harads and Big Ben moved to dismiss with evidence (pre-incident emails) from the accuser showing that she planned to go up to Big Ben's room for more than just fixing the TV.

If she had done this BEFORE the motions to dismiss were filed then you'd have a point Doggin. This is pure save face measure.

Also, the Accuser came up with this plan AFTER Big Ben's attorney sent her attorney a letter saying that she should write an apology to him in exchange for not pursuing any claims against her for defamation.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The attorney for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is rejecting a settlement offer by a former Nevada casino worker who claims the Super Bowl winner sexually assaulted her.

Roethlisberger attorney David Cornwell says the woman's offer is bizarre.

The woman wants Roethlisberger to admit to the allegations, apologize and donate $100,000 to the Committee to Aid Abused Women, a Reno nonprofit organization that offers support to domestic violence victims.

In a statement Wednesday, Cornwell says the proposal insults women who have legitimately suffered from sexual misconduct.

The woman sued the Super Bowl-winning quarterback in July, accusing him of assaulting her in 2008 in a hotel across the street from a golf course where he was playing in a celebrity tournament.
    Roethlisberger has denied the allegations.
