If Jerricho Can't Go Monday Night Clowney Must start With Edwards

There is no way in hell B.Smith a scrub at wr should start over Clowney..If Shotty does it then just cut the kid, and watch how fast he's picked up by the Pats..Not starting Clowney, and giving him the chance to at least show what he can do is madness. Enough is enough already, at least give the kid a chance to play with another team if Shotty hates him that much.

Sorry..Clowney..Mods please edit thread spelling in subject.

I have to agree with you on that. There is a reason Clowney doesn't see the field...he simply is not that good. There is no conspiracy by Shotty to keep him on the bench...Clowney is a one trick pony.

How the hell are we going to know for sure if we don't give him a shot in the regular season?

The coaches see him in practice everyday. If he was as talented as everybody on here thinks...he would have more opportunities. Just cause can beat a 4th or 5th string defender in pre-season does not mean he is the real deal. If Cotchery can not go Monday night...we will out of necessity see Clowney.

IMHO the guy that seems to be left out of the discussion seems to be Wallace Wright. If we go back to the Pre Season there was a certain Chemistry between Wright and Sanchez, in fact Wallace was Sanchez's go to guy. I just feel he should be in the mix. Thoughts ?

And the Patriots will start Clowney in front of who exactly? Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Joey Galloway?
He doesn't play because he has minor value to the Jets. He is a warm body in case of injury to people in front of him or to protect good players in case of a blowout. Speed is fine but only when coupled with other talent. He apparently does not have those other talents.
If speed was all that counted, teams would be drafting college sprinters. There are hundreds of U.S. track guys faster than Clowney. Many played football at one point.

Everyone who says "Clowney Sucks" please explain why the Jets then would waste an active roster spot on him. Every body, every spot on that 45 man roster is crucial. No team is going to waste one just for the sake of filling it up. The answer lies somewhere with Shottemheimer. I'm more inclined to say "Shottenheimer Sucks."

So they waste a roster spot on him because the "Jets WR sucked."

Our genius coaching staff had NO answers for our putrid passing attack last Sunday. No halftime adjustments whatsover. At least none that were apparent and none that worked, obviously. Shottenheimer is so overrated it's sickening.
