    RoboCop - Baddest Movie Ever?

As a movie buff I believe the highest form of drama is action. That's why I love football and basketball and that's why I love action movies. RoboCop is not only one of the greatest action movies ever - it's also a brilliant satire.

Loved the movie when I was a kid in the 80's and still think it's a piece of cinematic gold.

Definitely one of the best action movies. Also love the satire aspect of i. I think theyre Supposed to be remaking it soon. I believe Arinofsky was going to direct, not sure if he still is on board.

Sounds great. The sequels never lived up to the original. We never got to see another good Robocop movie.

yeah, good movie. The unrated version was pretty gruesome though. I remember kinda looking away when murphy got shot up.

The guy who gets doused with toxic waste and smashed into bits by a car was maybe the funniest death I've ever seen in a movie.

Here's a classic scene from the movie which makes me laugh uncontrollably every time. I love when the guy emerges from the toxic waste, seeing the flesh fall from his bones. The "gasp/scream" is priceless and hysterical.

Now the only press it gets is the "fappin" gif, so often seen on messageboards.

I agree with everyone above. One of my favorite of all time.

There is another aspect of the movie not mentioned: the emotional component of Robocop finding out he was Murphy.

When Robocop goes back to Murphy's old house and he starts having memories about his wife and son was brilliant film making.

I used to say that phrase twice a week, easily.

That and "You'll get nothing and like it".

My incessant, maniacal laugh at that point in the film almost got me kicked out of the movie theater. That happened to me a lot, as I had/have a habit of finding sick/demented/graphically horrific screen images hilarious.

Saw this in the theater with the wife when it first came out. We must have just gotten married and it took a lot of convincing to get her to go. Couldn't find the clip, but right after this scene, when the blow away Peter Weller before Nancy Allen can get to him, my wife actually started crying. Alot. She was SO pissed at me! :D

    What a classic movie.
