Elite NYPD Squad conducting rescue operation
Elite NYPD Squad Rescues Cat Trapped in Car's Engine

It seems not only firefighters are saving felines stuck in tricky predicaments these days.

Members of the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit were called to rescue a cat stuck in a car's engine, MyFOXNY.com reported.

The cat was wedged in a 2005 Nissan Murano for two miles before the driver pulled over and realized something was wrong.

The officers — typically called for hostage situations — were able to successfully retrieve the cat. The feline was taken to Animal Care and Control and was reported to be in good condition. Although, he may need to have something small removed from his face.

Same exact hing happened to my wife. A cat wedged itself next to the engine of her car and couldn't get out. Animal control had to come. Some slight burns to its face, but was basically fine.
